Are you at risk of flooding? Flood map for your area

Here at SurgeWatch, we are working hard to develop and maintain our database of coastal floods. Are you interested in finding out if your area is at risk of flooding? You can find out using a flood map.

Flood maps provide information on the risk of flooding from the sea (and also rivers). They can also contain information on coastal defences and the areas benefiting from these. If you are living in England or Wales, you can easily view the flood map for your area using the Environment Agency website, available here.

For Scotland, the relevant flood map is made available by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, which you can access here. For residents of Northern Ireland, please visit the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development website available here.

While these maps are based on the most up-to-date and reliable information currently available, it is worth noting that they are intended to provide only an indication of flood risk.
