Receptor and Consequence
This event was associated with localised flooding in some locations in the Solent, Hampshire including Langstone, Gosport, Hayling Island and Emsworth (Ruocco et al. 2011). In some areas, the flood water reached a depth of 4 ft [1.2 m], and required pumping. Local roads which became impassable in Hayling isolated parts of the island. The A27 nearby Fareham was also partly inundated. Some quayside property was also inundated.
