Receptor and Consequence
This event was mentioned in a compilation of historical coastal floods in North West Europe developed by Hickey (1997) and was associated with storm surge in Norfolk. Coastal flooding was also reported from Faversham (Zong and Tooley, 2003). Lamb (1991) reported that disastrous flooding occurred from Holland to Denmark drowning more than 800 people and many thousands cattle but there was no mentioned of England being affected.
