here was coastal flooding in Totton about 18 inches across the road and through the gates of the police station garden. At Titchfield, the coastal road around the Haven was ‘washed away by the heavy seas’. There was erosion caused by the pounding seas of the low cliff in Milford-on-Sea to a depth of 10-15ft (Ruocco, 2009).
