Receptor and Consequence:
This event was associated with coastal flooding in Cumbria and the west coast of Scotland (Zong and Tooley, 2003; Hickey, 1997). In Cumbia, Cartmel and Kent’s bank were effected (Zong and Tooley, 2003). The effects in Scotland were exacerbated by heavy rain from the storm. Effected areas included Portpatrick and Stranraer, the sea wall was damaged at the latter location (Hickey, 1997).
