Receptor and Consequence
This event was associated with flooding to 6 inches between the pontoon and bottom of shooters Hill at High Street, West Cowes causing the street to be shut to traffic (Akehurst, 2011). Ticket office at Cowes Bridge also reportedly flooded as well as lower areas of Bridge Road, Brunswick Road and Medina Road. The floodwater came up to doorways at many properties and entered a few premises.
