Storms and high tide caused flooding in some areas in Kent and West Sussex (Scoones, 2018).
Pathway
There was a report of sea defences overtopped at Bognor Regis (Harlow, 2012).
Receptor and Consequence
At Ramsgate, low lying areas of coast flooded. Sea lapped over trampoline fixtures and tea kiosk, while promenades at Palm Bay and Lido under several inches of water. At Walmer, Kingsdown Road/ Granville Road flooded by “24-footer” tide. At Kingsferry Bridge, high tide flooded 3 telephone cable junction boxes, stopping all phone networks on the Isle of Sheppey (Scoones, 2018).
