Receptor and Consequence
This event was associated with coastal flooding in many south coast locations including Hayling Island, Cowes, Mudeford Bay, Yarmouth, Weston super Mare, Burnham on Sea, Minehead, Clevedon, Porlock, Watchet, Bridgenorth, Hythe and Sandgate (Zong and Tooley, 2003). Note that there was a severe (Category 5) event during 14th–15th December which impacted northern Somerset, and the Solent, Hampshire.
