A ‘major’ North Sea storm surge generated coastal flooding in several east coast areas during this event including Yorkshire (where the Spurn isthmus was breached), Lincolnshire, Norfolk, and Kent (Eden, 2008). Scoones (2018) reported that houses in Prince of Wales Terrace, Canute Road, and Wellington Parade flooded. At Seasalter, gardens and houses inundated.
