Receptor and Consequence
This event was associated with the remnants of Hurricane Katia bringing very strong winds combined with high tides causing large waves battering some west-facing coasts (Met Office, 2011). High waves crashing over the railway line in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire was photograph, however, the train made its way through (The Guardian, 2011).
