Pathway
There was report of sea defenses were overtopped by large waves resulting from high winds (Lawrence, 2017).
Receptor and Consequence
This event saw minor flooding in the south-east especially around Eastbourne with disruptions to roads (Lawrence, 2017). Multiple local streets flooded between Bognor Regis and Selsey Bill. At Hinkley Point region, a promenade in Weston-super-Mare was also flooded for a few hours (Young, 2018).
